NPIHN's 20th Anniversary Cookbook - Submit a recipe and become a part of it!

To celebrate our 20th anniversary of providing hospitality and supportive services to homeless and formerly homeless families in Northwest Philadelphia, and to celebrate our new program in Northeast Philadelphia, Interfaith Hospitality Network is marking this special year with a new Empty Bowl Dinner Cookbook. Aside from an historical retrospective and photo display honoring the many wonderful people who have helped our families along their paths, this book will feature favorite recipes from our many donor restaurant chefs, and participating congregations and schools.

Therefore, we would love to include some of your favorite recipes so you can be represented in this treasured 20th Anniversary Empty Bowl Dinner cookbook with your best recipes for soups, stews, one-pot meals and desserts.
Please note that your name will be printed with each of your recipes and each cookbook will be professionally designed and produced.

There are 3 ways to share your favorite recipe:
  1. Visit the 20th Anniversary Empty Bowl Dinner Cookbook recipe page on our website.
  2. Email cookbook@philashelter.org, making sure to include your name, number and neighborhood.
  3. Alternatively, you can mail your recipe(s) directly to our office at 7047 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19119.

All recipes are needed by March 31, 2013.

All profits from the cookbook will support NPIHN’s innovative, holistic approach to helping families who are experiencing homelessness. This year’s donations will furthermore help us to expand our network to additional Philadelphia neighborhoods with urgent unmet needs.

May our hearts be open and may our bowls be full!
